“The master in the art of living makes little distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his education and his recreation, his love and his religion. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence at whatever he does, leaving others to decide whether he is working or playing. To him he is always doing both.”

George brings over 30 years of broadcast television experience to Mesh Multimedia. He studied advertising and public relations in the Journalism School at The University of South Carolina, then moved into television at WCIV TV in Charleston. A desire for travel and life in a bigger market brought him to Washington DC, first at WJLA TV-7, then to ABC News as a staff cameraman. After working on his craft in the news business, George expanded his creative horizons in documentary, news magazines, corporate, cable, and political projects as a freelance videographer and producer. Clients included shows for NBC TV, HGTV, Food Network, PBS, political consultants, and various public relations and media consulting firms. His latest venture was as co-founder of The Downstream Project, a non-profit multimedia company that is concerned with natural resource conservation and water quality issues. Among the more notable achievements in George’s career were Director of Photography for many PBS documentaries in the “Great Museums Television” series, Director of Photography for the “Swift Boat Veterans” political advertising campaign, and primary cameraman for NBC on the “Dole for President Campaign” in 1996. George also co-produced the independent documentary “Shenandoah; Voices of The River”, and was Director of Photography for “He Who is Blessed,”, a documentary about the remarkable life of the late Brother Benedict Simmonds. The cable television series “Dream House” on HGTV in 2007 brought George and The Mackeys together, when they realized, while working together for over a year, their shared values for professional and personal excellence.
